New Mix – Strictly For My Ninjas vol 2

26 10 2009

Bit more digging into what I love the best…. cross genre business, mixed in one take, a bit erratic but basically that’s me. Spinning between the smoothness of Rodney Franklin’s ‘Felix Leo’ and Chaka Khan, to Mark E’s finest and then onto my re-edit of Mr Bumpman. Get’s a bit detroit in there for a bit, then ends a bit jazzy. You know the steez. Enjoy

93 Feet East – the debrief

22 09 2009

So, thanks to all those that made it down for the last 93 Feet East session, it built and built up to a finale that saw girls trying to climb into the DJ booth (kind of), falling off tables (ouch, she was ok though) and a chorus of ‘we want more’ at the end.

It’s a pity the licence is only till 1am and strictly adhered to, they actually cut off Floating Points Vacuum Boogie just at the moment when the whole tune kicked off, which was a massive shame as it’s such a massive tune.

Anyway here’s a taster of the tracks I played during the night, at least it’s what I can remember at the moment, sans record box, and I know there was some wicked Omar S and Dave Angel from liamski and lovely stuff from Portugal and a bit of US Garage from Ben V as well. All in all, it turned out nice again 🙂 pictures (maybe videos) sure to follow…

  • Poni hoax – Antibodies (Chateau Flight mix)
  • Stacy Kidd – Disco Mania 2
  • D Malice – Gabryelle Refix
  • The Jacksons – Show You the Way to Go

Next Party – 93 Feet East – FREE Fridays

12 09 2009
Free Fridays

Free Fridays

So, we’ve been invited back to 93 Feet East for another Friday session. The last one had people dancing on tables in a Caligulean dance orgy (well, nearly) and we’re very much looking forward to more of the same in the aptly named Pink Bar.

The night runs from 8pm till 1am and those five hours are set to be jam-packed with great music from past and present, maybe even some frome the future(beats) too! Add to that the fact that the main live room has four different live acts on and it’s hard to say no, especially when it’s free, nada, zilch, entrée libre, zollfreie Einfuhr etc….

See you there. 😉
